Terms of use
1. Who we are and what these Terms cover
Moduwi is a product of KereX Technologies L.L.C-FZ, a free zone company registered in the Meydan Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, licence No. 2649066 (“KereX”, “we”). These Terms govern your use of the Moduwi website, the Telegram Mini App and the Moduwi apps. KereX is a technology company. It is not a bank, payment institution or other licensed financial institution, does not accept deposits, does not hold customer funds and does not provide regulated payment services in its own name. By creating an account or using Moduwi you accept these Terms.
2. Licensed partners and their terms
Regulated services in Moduwi are provided by the partners below, each under its own licences, registrations and terms. When you start using a service, you enter into an agreement directly with the partner providing it and accept its terms; for that service, the partner’s terms apply alongside these Terms and prevail in case of conflict. The partner responsible for a specific payment route is shown in the app before you confirm.

Partners may differ by country and route and may change; this page is kept up to date and material changes are announced in advance. Funds held with a bank or payment institution are protected according to that institution’s licence and applicable law, which may differ from a deposit guarantee in your country.
3. Who can use Moduwi
You must be at least 18 years old, pass identity verification and live in a country where Moduwi and the relevant partner services are available. Moduwi is not available in jurisdictions listed in the KereX Prohibited Jurisdictions policy or to persons subject to sanctions. A parent or legal guardian may give a child access to a card inside their own modu, within limits they set; the parent or guardian remains responsible for that use.
4. Your account and security
Keep your device, Telegram account, passcodes and one-time codes secure and do not share them. Tell us immediately at support@moduwi.com or through the bot if you suspect unauthorised access, and block your card in the app. You are responsible for operations confirmed from your account unless they were made without your authorisation and you have not acted fraudulently or with gross negligence.
5. Modu, roles and shared money
A modu is a shared space created by its owner for a particular purpose. The owner assigns roles (owner, treasurer, member, observer, helper) and each role has only the permissions shown in the app. Every top-up and payment in a modu is recorded in a history visible to all its participants and cannot be deleted. When a modu is closed, the remaining balance is returned to participants in the proportion shown in the app. Arrangements between participants, such as who contributes what, are between them; KereX provides the tools but is not a party to those arrangements.
6. Payments, transfers and Scan to Pay
Payments, transfers and QR payments (both when you scan a merchant’s code and when a merchant scans yours) are executed by the partner responsible for the specific route. Before you confirm, the app shows the recipient or merchant, the amount, the exchange rate and any fee. Check them carefully: once executed, a payment generally cannot be cancelled. Processing times depend on the route and the receiving institution. A payment may be declined or delayed where required by law, by the partner’s checks or for security reasons.
7. Cards
Moduwi cards are provided by AISON TECHNOLOGY CO., LIMITED under its own cardholder terms, which you accept when you order a card. Card limits, supported wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay) and fees are shown in the app. If your card or device is lost or stolen, block the card in the app straight away.
8. Digital assets
Digital asset features are not available yet. When they launch, they will be provided only where permitted by applicable law, by an appropriately authorised partner and under separate terms. Digital assets are not deposits, are not covered by deposit guarantee schemes and can lose value.
9. Fees and exchange rates
Creating and using a modu is free. Fees apply to certain transfers and currency exchange; the applicable fee and rate are always shown before you confirm an operation and are those in force at that moment. The fee model is described on the Fees and limits page.
10. What you must not do
Do not use Moduwi for anything illegal, for fraud, money laundering or terrorist financing, to evade sanctions, for business settlements or commercial collections it is not designed for, or to deceive other participants. Do not attempt to access other users’ data or interfere with the service.
11. Suspension and closure
We or a partner may suspend an operation, a modu or an account where required by law or a regulator, where we suspect fraud or a breach of these Terms, or to protect you or other users. We will tell you why when the law allows. You can close a modu or your account at any time; records are kept for as long as the law requires.
12. Intellectual property
The Moduwi name, logo, design and software belong to KereX or its licensors. You may use the service for its intended purpose; you may not copy, modify or resell it.
13. Liability
KereX is responsible for its technology platform and provides it with reasonable care. Regulated services are the responsibility of the partner that provides them. To the extent permitted by law, KereX is not liable for indirect or consequential losses or for interruptions caused by partners, networks or events beyond its reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory rights as a consumer.
14. Complaints
Write to support@moduwi.com first; we acknowledge complaints within 2 working days and aim to resolve them within 15 working days. If you are not satisfied, write to legal@kerex.io. Complaints about a regulated service are handled under the complaints procedure of the partner that provides it, and we will pass your complaint on to them.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes at least 30 days in advance in the app or by email. If you do not agree, you can close your account before the changes take effect.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai. This does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer laws of your country of residence. Services provided by a partner are governed by the law and dispute rules in that partner’s terms.
